Inside the White Cube

Statement:

This project was originally started in 1997 as a side project of some commercial architectural photographic work I was doing. The original idea came from my master's thesis in architecture some years earlier - concerning the aesthetics of the museum and art galleries. Among other things - the project can be thought of as an exploration and critique of the platonic space of the museum and marketing of high culture.The spaces were shot with a large format camera between shows at the corresponding institutions, public art museums and galleries alike.
